Persian silver ice bucket, from Isfahan, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century

  • Material and Workmanship: It is crafted from silver, hallmarked of 84-grade fineness (approximately 875/1000 purity), and features intricate, hand-etched botanical and floral motifs.

  • Function and Design: This style of bucket was designed specifically for holding ice.

  • Historical Context: These pieces are representative of traditional silver work from the Isfahan school, a major center for Persian metalworking

    Created by Legislative Decree No 26, on 9 May, 1983; a Lebanese commemorative medal for military personnel of the Multinational Forces and Peacekeeping Forces in Lebanon, issued in three classes:
    • First Class gilt – for Commanding Officers
    • Second Class silvered – for officers & Assistant Officers
    • Third Class bronze – for all other ranks
    Due to financial and technical difficulties, it was canceled by Law No 198 dated 18 February, 1993
