Lebanon Certificate for the 1st Class of The Order of Lebanese Merit Type 1 dated 1943

A rare to find certificate from Lebanon – for the 1st Class of The Order of Lebanese Merit Type 1 dated 12 August, 1943: Three months before the independence.

The Order of Merit was initially established during the French Mandate over Lebanon to recognize acts of courage and devotion by Decision Number 1080 on 16 January, 1922 and amended on 25 June, 1922. It could be awarded posthumously.
