Lebanon: The National Order of the Cedars (Type II) Officer
In December 1943, a Decree removed the mandate flag of Lebanon (blue– white- red) in the design of the Order of the Cedars and replaced it with the national flag – red, white and red with a cedar tree centering the white section. Created by the Law of 31 December, 1936, regulated by the Code of Decorations (Decree Law 122 dated 12 June 1959). The French inscriptions removed from the reverse and the Arabic retained with the post independence Lebanese flag.
